Update: Rapper Casanova surrenders to law enforcement after being declared wanted in connection to a racketeering case

Casanova has surrendered to law enforcement following his indictment in a gang-related federal racketeering case.

The rapper, whose real name is Caswell Senior is one of the 18 alleged Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang members indicted in New York City.

Casanova, currently signed to Roc Nation, was charged with three counts: conspiracy to commit racketeering, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said in a press release on Tuesday.

He surrendered himself at the Midtown South precinct in Manhattan on Wednesday night, police said.

His other gang members are charged with a litany of crimes including the killing in September of a 15-year-old in Poughkeepsie and defrauding programs meant for people suffering economic hardship because of the pandemic.

If he’s convicted of the top charge against him, racketeering conspiracy, Casanova could face up to life in prison.
