Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash said Kevin Durant is eligible to rejoin the team on Friday, putting him in line to play against his former team, the Warriors, next Saturday.
Durant didn’t travel to Philadelphia for Saturday’s game against the 76ers after coming into contact on Friday with an associate who tested positive for the coronavirus that night.
Friday night against the Raptors, Durant was pulled out of the lineup shortly before the game, allowed to play in the first quarter and then told to leave the game again in the third quarter due to contact-tracing protocols.
The Nets are scheduled to play Philadelphia on Saturday, Detroit on Tuesday and Indiana on Wednesday.
He’d be eligible to face the Warriors provided he continues to test negative for COVID-19.
