Worth up to $44,000 (approximately £32,282) a year, the Sydney Scholars India Equity Scholarship is given to an exceptional Indian student from a poor background to take a postgraduate degree. It covers tuition fees, a living allowance and textbooks along with flight tickets, health insurance and college residence when Mr Joshi eventually is able to move to Australia.
