Gunmen Abduct 20 Women Including Local Council Employees In Kaduna

Bandits have abducted 20 women who were travelling along Zaria and Giwa towns in Kaduna State.

A former Kaduna State senator, Shehu Sani, made this known on his verified Twitter handle on Monday while criticising the Telecoms’ ban put in place to checkmate the activities of bandits and kidnappers.

He wrote, “This evening, about 20 women have been abducted when terrorists stopped their vehicles between Zaria and Giwa town, Kaduna state. The suspension of telecom services has not stopped the monstrous scourge of kidnappings and killings.”

It was gathered that 13 of them were employees of Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to reports, the abductors allowed the driver to go in order to report the incident to the local government headquarters and to the victims’ families.
