Bandits Strike Again In Kaduna, Kill Man, Abduct His Children

Bandits have killed one Alhaji Habibu of Sayen Lemu village, Dutsen Abba, in the Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State and also kidnapped three of his children.

Sayen Lemu is a village close to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria and is also about 5km from where bandits earlier blocked the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

According to Daily Trust, the bandits arrived at Habibu’s house around 11 pm on Wednesday and shot him dead before abducting three of his children.

A community source said, “We don’t think they were hired killers. We believe they are part of the bandits terrorising the area in the recent past.

“You know this area has been recording several attacks by bandits in the last one year, and yet no measure has been taken to save our lives from their frequent attacks.”

On Wednesday, bandits abducted five people in Dallatu and Kasuwar Da’a areas of Dutsen Abba in Zaria.

The incident happened 24 hours after bandits blocked the Kaduna-Zaria expressway, killing three people and abducting scores.

Residents said the bandits, who stormed Dallatu village around 1 am on Wednesday, kidnapped two people and proceeded to Kasuwar Da’a village where they abducted six others, amongst them three children.
