Two Bodies Recovered From Lagos Collapsed Building

Rescuers on Saturday recovered two bodies from the ruins of a three-storey building under construction, which collapsed in the Yaba area of Lagos.

This was confirmed by the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.



The incident happened on Akanbi Crescent, close to the University of Lagos.

First responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency arrived at the scene to begin rescue operations.










Osanyintolu disclosed that the recovered persons from the rubble were two adult males.

According to him, the emergency responders recovered the bodies following swift deployment of the agency’s heavy duty equipment.

He added that recovery operation was still ongoing in a bid to rescue other victims of the tragedy.
