Police arrest Kano Governor’s aide and one other for allegedly diverting palliatives

The Kano State Police Command has arrested Tasiu Alamin-Roba, a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abba Yusuf, and one Abdulkadir Muhammad for alleged diversion of the states palliatives. The Commissioner of Police, Hussaini Gumel, told the News Agency of Nigeria in an interview on Sunday, December 3, that the suspects were arrested at a warehouse at Sharada with over 200 empty bags. The CP said that the suspects were reportedly repackaging the rice and maize at the warehouse in the area.  “We have since commenced intensive investigation to find out how many bags of maize or rice were repackaged and sold, he said. Gumel added that the two suspects would be charged in court after the conclusion of discreet investigations. The post Police arrest Kano Governor’s aide and one other for allegedly diverting palliatives appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
