A mobile court sitting in Umuahia, Abia State, has sentenced a 27-year-old man, Chukwunyere Okechukwu Akomas, to 14 years imprisonment for def!ling two minors, aged 8 and 11. Akomas was sentenced on Friday, January 10, 2025. The court found Akomas guilty on both counts and sentenced him to 14 years imprisonment on each count, to run concurrently. Human rights activist and coordinator of Behind Bar Foundation, Abia State chapter, disclosed this on Friday night.
