Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has launched a scathing attack on the Canadian government, condemning their decision to deny visas to Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and other senior military officials.
Speaking at an event in Abuja, Ribadu expressed his outrage, declaring that Canada “can go to hell” for disrespecting Nigeria’s military leaders.
The visa denials prevented General Musa and his delegation from attending an event honoring war veterans in Canada.
His remarks came in response to General Musa’s revelation that he and his team were scheduled to attend an event in Canada honoring war veterans but were denied visas.
Musa described the incident as a wake-up call for Nigeria to strengthen its self-reliance.
Ribadu commended Musa for openly addressing the matter, adding that while the decision was disrespectful, it should serve as motivation to build a stronger Nigeria.
“Thank you for the courage to say Canada denied you visas. They can go to h£ll,” Ribadu said. “It’s p+inful and disrespectful, but we are peaceful and strong. I agree with you—it is time to fix our country. This is yet another reason to work harder to make Nigeria work.”
