Tinubu Declares Tuesday Public Holiday to Honour Late President Buhari

In continuation of the seven-day national mourning declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government has officially declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of the late former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

This was made known in a statement that was released by the office of the Presidency of Monday evening.

The announcement is part of a nationwide tribute to commemorate the passing of the former leader, who died at the age of 81 in a private clinic in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
