This was how Muhammadu Buhari led government used the DSS to publicly brutalize, manhandle, and dehumanize Omoyele Sowore during Buhari’s reign in 2019. What was Sowore’s crime? He was vocal against the maladministration and corruption that characterized the Buhari regime. Today, Buhari is no more, and almost all those who aided, abated, and carried out hatchet job for Buhari, have paid and are still paying so dearly for their deeds. The then DSS boss who ordered that Sowore be manhandled and dragged in and out of the court- Yusuf Bichi ended his career in ignominy as he was shamefully dismissed and disgraced out of office over incompetence. The then Attorney General – Malami who spearheaded all the malicious prosecutions against Sowore is today being dragged in and out of prisons by Tinubu over corruption. The IG of Police – Egbetokun who supervised Sowore’s many ordeals in the hands of the Nigeria Police Force was shamefully disgraced out of office by Tinubu.
