The House of Representatives has approved the request by the President Muhammadu Buhari to borrow $22.7bn.
The lawmakers approved the request at Tuesday’s plenary after the committee on aids, loans, and debt management gave its report. 
Buhari had in 2019 when he sent the request said the loan will be used to finance key infrastructures in the country.
The President first sent the loan request to the National Assembly under Bukola Saraki but it was rejected.
