Lagos Discharges 33 COVID-19 Patients, Records Eight Deaths

The Lagos State Government has discharged 33 more COVID-19 patients from its isolation centres after they recovered and tested negative to the virus.

This was disclosed by the Lagos State Ministry of Health via its Twitter handle @LSMOH on Tuesday.

This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in the state to 908. 

The state also recorded eight COVID-19 deaths.

“33 fully recovered ‪#COVID19Lagos patients; 7 females & 26 males including 3 foreign nationals -Indians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 21 from Onikan, 9 from Eti-Osa (Land Mark), 2 from Lekki and 1 from Gbagada isolation centre were discharged having fully tested negative to ‪#COVID19.

“With this, the number of ‪#COVID19 cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 908.

“‪COVID19Lagos Update as at 1st June, 2020: 192 new cases of #COVID19 Infection confirmed. Total confirmed cases in Lagos is now 5,151.

‪“Eight #COVID19 deaths were recorded in Lagos, bringing the total number of #COVID19 related deaths to 67.”
