Sources: Hawks’ Young tests positive for virus

Atlanta Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Young has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, sources said. He will need two negative tests 24 hours apart to exit them.

The Hawks do not currently have any other players listed in the protocols on their injury report. The Cavaliers placed rookie Evan Mobley in the protocols before Saturday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Young ranks second in the NBA with 27.3 points per game and third in assists with 9.3 per contest.
