The third batch of Nigerians fleeing from the Russia-Ukrainian war has arrived in the country from Budapest, Hungary.
Charter flights by Max Air and Air Peace had brought in the stranded Nigerians, mostly students from Bucharest and Warsaw.

On Thursday, Max Air lifted the first set while Air Peace arrived with its batch of 183 evacuees on Friday morning.
Their arrival had been announced by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission in a tweet on Friday night.
“The third batch of Nigerians from #Ukraine arrive Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja at about 11:50pm local time from Budapest, Hungary,” it tweeted.
Amb. Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who announced the evacuation plans, said the stranded Nigerians would be evacuated from Romania, Poland and Hungary via Max Air and Air Peace flights.
According to him, 650 Nigerians registered with the embassy in Hungary, 350 in Poland: 940 in Romania and 150 in Slovakia.
“The capacity and routes of the airlines are as follow: Max Air to Romania 560 persons, Air Peace to Poland 365 persons and Air Peace to Hungary 360 persons.”
