Twitter users never forget and, today, they made sure to remind a woman who tried to shame employees who depend on paychecks.
The woman took to Twitter months ago to ask for donations so she can support her business. She returned to Twitter today to shame adults who rely on paychecks. But Twitter users were quick to remind her that the same employees contributed to her business just weeks ago.
@IndiaAlmighty tweeted in March: “The Write Touch is my small growing business. I’d like to see my followers support my business by simply sending me $1. $1 can make a difference. Let’s see if just a handful of you really do support a friend’s dreams and business. My goal is $300. Cashapp: $TheWriteTouch.”
Today, she tweeted: “Imagine being a whole adult and waiting 14 whole days for a check and then having to wait 14 whole days again for a check. Can’t relate.”
In reply to her tweet, a Twitter user dug out her old tweet where she was asking for donations for her business and wrote: “Imagine being a whole adult begging for money on social media for a MacBook to start your “business” and then coming online 6 months later to shame those same 9-5 people who gave you their hard-earned money out of the kind of their heart.”
