Friends of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are convinced they will be getting back together after their reunion at 2020 SAG Awards.
At the event which took place at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, Brad Pitt, 56, and his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston,50, shared a moment together backstage.
The pair, who split in 2005, were pictured hugging and smiling at each other as they reunited backstage with the actress seen gently placing her hand on Pitt’s chest as he held her arm before they went their separate ways.
At one point, Pitt, who won the best supporting actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was filmed watching his ex-wife on a television screen backstage as she gave her own acceptance speech after winning for best actress in a drama for her work in The Morning Show.
Now, friends of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are convinced they’re getting back together and claim his family would “love it” if they did.
“All of Jen’s friends always loved Brad and see him as a guy who messed up,” said the insider.
“It’s been 20 years and they’ve both grown up a lot – he’s sober now and is a truly good guy. Everyone would love to see them back together. The timing just seems right – they’re both single and have so much in common.
“Brad’s mom Jane always loved Jen, and carried on seeing and speaking to her even after the divorce. His whole family adored her.”
The source added: “Courteney and Jen are so tight – she wouldn’t do that if she thought Jen would disapprove.
“Everyone is convinced Brad and Jen are more than just friends, and these meet ups are laying the groundwork for something more serious – possibly even getting back together.
“They know the public would love them to reunite – and everyone thinks it will happen.”
Aniston and Pitt were married for five years before he started dating Jolie. In 2014, Pitt, and Jolie got married, before shocking the world with their divorce announcement in 2016. Their divorce was finalized in 2019.
