The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned Nigerians against self-medication.
The health agency said in its tweet that medicines given by authorised medical personnel to patients with diseases including COVID-19, are dependent on individual conditions. Nigerians were also warned against self-medication on another person’s prescription.
The tweet reads;
Remember, the medicines given by authorised medical personnel to patients with diseases including #COVID19, are dependent on individual conditions Please DO NOT engage in self-medication based on another person’s prescription as you can harm yourself
