A member of the Gombe state task force on COVID19, Shuaibu Danlami, has died from Coronavirus complications .
Late Danlami, who was also the director for Special Services and Politics at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, died on Sunday May 31 after a brief illness. Samples taken from him for testing returned positive for Coronavirus from the NCDC lab in Abuja late Tuesday, June 2.
Chairman of the state task force on COVID-19, Idris Mohammed, who made this known to newsmen today June 3, said both the SSG’s office complex and the Government House clinic will be closed for decontamination. He said contact tracing has also begun.
Danlami is the seventh Covid-19 death case recorded in the state.
