Koepka out of Travelers after caddie tests positive

Brooks Koepka is the latest golfer to withdraw from this week’s Travelers Championship after his caddie, Ricky Elliott, tested positive for COVID-19.

Koepka told Golfweek that he doesn’t “want to risk anyone’s life if they have respiratory issues or underlying conditions.”

The world’s No. 4-ranked player, Koepka told Golfweek about his decision Wednesday. Graeme McDowell also withdrew from the event Wednesday because his longtime caddie also tested positive.

Cameron Champ withdrew Tuesday after testing positive.

“The only way this Tour can continue is if guys to do this sort of thing and be proactive about it,” Koepka told Golfweek.
