A 30-year-old man, Mohammed Ibrahim, has been arrested for allegedly sodomising a six-year-old boy and defiling a six-year-old girl in the Potiskum local government area of Yobe State.
This was made known in a statement issued on Wednesday by Hope State police spokesman, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, in Damaturu. Mr Ibrahim was arrested on January 31, NAN reports.
“The suspect lured the minors into an uncompleted building and committed the dastardly act. The perpetrator is in detention,” Mr Abdulkarim explained. “The matter has been transferred to the state police headquarters in Damaturu for discreet investigation. He will be charged to court soon.
