Panic As Gunmen Attack Ex-Governor, Aregbesola’s Campaign Office In Osun

Gunmen have attacked Oranmiyan House, a place used as a campaign office by the Minister of Interior and former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola
Punch reports that the attack which occurred on Thursday has caused confusion in the Coca Cola Area of Osogbo, Osun State, where the house is situated.

According to the report, the gunmen arrived in the area around 5:30 pm, shooting sporadically at the building.
The assailants, it was also learnt, shot at a transformer located beside the building and a canopy erected in front of the secretariat which caught fire.
SaharaReporters recalled that a few months ago, gunmen attacked members of the All Progressives Congress party (APC) at the same venue: Oranmiyan House, Osogbo, Osun State.
The hoodlums reportedly arrived at the venue of the meeting in a black Sienna minivan and began shooting sporadically.
The hoodlums were said to have gained access into the compound because the personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps who maintained security at the premises were not on the ground at the time of the attack.
It was learnt that the members who belong to The Osun Progressives (TOP) faction loyal to former Governor, Rauf Aregbesola and under the leadership of Adelowo Adebiyi, were attacked.
