A young man identified simply as Thankgod, was beaten to pulp and tied up with a rope after he was allegedly caught stealing in Calabar, Cross River. Facebook user, Sly Silva said the incident happened at Army estate, 8miles on Thursday, August 17, 2023. According to Silva, the suspect earlier stole a generator set. She claimed Thankgod returned to the area and stole a water metre but he ran out of luck. The suspect hails from Ekori community in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River state.
