’Imagine waiting at home for one year because of you were born 12 days from their deadline” JAMB ‘underage” candidates lament over their withheld results

Underaged candidates who sat for the 2025 JAMB examination have taken to social media to cry out over the seizure of their results. 

The examination body had made exam provisions for candidates who are 15 years old but would be 16 in September when universities begin to admit fresh students. The underaged students bought the forms, sat for the exam and waited for their results to be released. Sadly, when the JAMB results were released, many of them had their results withheld.

Some of the affected students have come online to cry out for justice. One of them stated that she will be 16 by October. She stated that the examination body said her results were not released because she is 12 days behind  own ‘’new year”. She lamented that she will now have to wait for another whole year just because she is 12 days short of the examination body’s calendar year.

A mother of one of the candidates who will be 16 by October and had her result withheld as well also took to social media to lament.
