
After long waits, the Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) has finally competed plan to return body of Late Nigerian boxer, Segun Olanrewaju (Success) home for burial, ObjecTV media revealed.
On Tuesday, GBA sent two-persons delegate, namely Gideon Hassen Appiah (GBA board member) and Lateykwei Lartey (head coach, Fit Square Boxing Gym) to Lagos ahead of the arrival of the body of Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju on Tuesday 17th June, 2025.
Objectv Media learned that a total sum package of $3,000 is sent along to be handed to the deceased family through the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC).
GBA president, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, said the $3000 is made up of the $1500 meant for the boxer’s purse provided by Osibor Boxing Management CEO, Gordon Frimpong and another $1500 from GBA as a donation to the family.
Meanwhile in solidarity, a One-Man-Supporter from Ghana, Mr. Abraham Boakye, also in solidarity provided a bus with 47 seater capacity to convey about 30 members of Ghana National supporters Union to go in camaraderie with the Ghana Boxing Authority to Lagos for the interment event of Late Olanrewaju Success.
