BREAKING: Many Feared Dead, Trapped As 21-Storey Building Collapses in Lagos

Many people are feared dead following the collapse of a 21-storey building in Lagos State. 

The incident occurred on Gerrard Road, in the Ikoyi area of the state on Monday.



The casualty figure could not be ascertained at the time of filing this story but many occupants of the house were believed to have been trapped.

SaharaReporters learnt that rescue teams had arrived at the scene of the crash to save the injured persons and those trapped in the rubble. 

A video made by Arise News shows sympathisers milling around the collapsed building. 

One of them could be heard saying, “Even the owner of the house, Mr Gbadebo is there.”
