Police Arrest, To Deport Four Illegal Nigerian Immigrants In India

Police in New Delhi have arrested four Nigerians illegally residing in India with expired visas, Times Of India reports.

A source revealed that Indian authorities have recently intensified crackdown on illegal immigrants which prompted a police team of the Dwarka district to go after the Nigerians around Uttam Nagar police station.

The culprits apprehended are identified as Chidi Basil Odor, Frank Fred Emefiele, Bright Odor, and Alex Oseh.

“After verification of their credentials, it was found they were overstaying in India without valid visas,” the official said.

The newspaper said, as they were not able to provide any suitable reason and supportive document for their overstay in India, they were produced before the Foreigners Regional Registration Officers (FRRO) along with their original passports, the official said.

The FRRO ordered their deportation. In the meantime, they have been sent to a detention centre at Lampur Border.
