Al Capone’s Tax Returns

After a career of violent crime, Al Capone was finally convicted and jailed for income-tax evasion, in 1932. But what most people don’t realize is that Capone could easily have got away with that crime, too, had he not done such an incredibly bad job on his tax returns. Those returns have now been made public for the first time.
