“I just didn’t take it seriously,” she recalled, admitting that she spent much of her youth slathering on baby oil and iodine before laying in the sun. “Plus, I didn’t know that skin cancer was a big deal. I was like, ‘One, it’s not skin cancer. It’s moles. Get over it.'”
Over the last few years, Teddi has been candid about her health journey. And that’s included firing back after a follower suggested her stage 4 cancer diagnosis is likely a death sentence. After all, Teddi is maintaining an optimistic and positive outlook—especially when it comes to her recovery.
“These kind of comments make me really sad,” Teddi replied in her Instagram Stories. “I know people are trying to help but heart breaking for me to read. Of course I know the chances but I truly believe with my whole heart I will beat this and watch my kids graduate.”
