Voter Feared Dead After Being Knocked Down By Motorcycle In FCT Council Poll

A middle-aged woman has been feared dead after being knocked down by a speeding motorcycle at a polling unit in Saturday’s council election in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Vanguard reports that the woman was attempting to cross the road to the polling unit at PU048, Salasi opposite Post Office in Karu, Abuja Municipal Area Council, when the tragedy occured.



Voters apprehended the motorcyclist and handed him over to security operatives deployed for the election.

The police is yet to comment on the incident.
