Plus, it seems Glen may be game for a sequel, too. While he still kept things mysterious, he commented a cryptic series of emojis, with a zipped mouth, heart, prayer hands and sunglasses on E! News Instagram post of Sydney’s interview.
And they’ve certainly stayed in touch since filming. In fact, the costars’ on-screen chemistry initially led viewers to believe an off-screen romance may be brewing, and after Sydney’s split from ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino earlier this year, speculation began once again—especially when Sydney was spotted in Texas at Glen’s sister’s wedding. However, the duo has shut down rumors and made it known they are just good friends.
Glen further explained that Sydney has become a good friend of his sister, Leslie, as well.
“I mean she and Syd are obviously great friends,” the Top Gun Maverick star elaborated during his April appearance on Jenna & Friends. “It was a hell of a wedding. The Powells know how to do it right, so all the people that love her were there.”
Of the coincidence of the wedding falling at the same time as Sydney’s breakup, Glen joked, “Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?”
